Kelly has been obsessed with horses as long as she can remember. Born and Raised in Vancouver B.C. Canada. Ms Allen got her first horse at the age of 12 and has never looked back. Allen's art work has progressed steadily since her "Seymour Heights Elementary Artist Award" in 1972. From painting owner/horse portraits Ms Allen expanded to a "New Southwestern style" and has achieved notoriety for her saucy western "Boots and Bums" designs she started painting in the 90's.
April 16th 1994 Kelly had a very successful art show at "The Gallery "in White Rock B.C.
In 1995 Kelly was juried in as a Active Member of the "Canadian Artist Federation".
Her latest collection is a mixture of both Watercolor and Acrylic pieces which features vivid colors, action shots and pleasant views. Kelly has worked now for Canada Safeway for over 27 years and plans on retiring soon to take up painting full time. Kelly and her husband Ron love to travel with their horses. Last year they spent over a month in Arizona where Kelly got some great ideas for new paintings. Keep your eye open for new works of Art in 2008. |
